Viewing .htaccess in Remote Connections in Zend Studio for Eclipse
Today I’ve been trying to view .htaccess files in a web site connected to remotely in Zend Studio for Eclipse. These do not appear in file listings so they can’t be opened. I’ve added an .htaccess file type, but that didn’t work. After searching around in the Preferences (found in the Windows pull down menu), I found an option in the Remote Systems->Files section. If you check on Show hidden files, then .htaccess will appear (you may need to refresh the folder first). Then you can open the file by double-clicking on it.

Now if only there were a way to make this work for local sites. I would assume that the show hidden files would also show the .svn files and that would not be good for those who work with source control. They should have an option for showing all hidden files and showing hidden files such as .htaccess
